Medical Microneedling

Medical microneedling is a procedure designed to enhance & improve skin complexion via activation of the skin’s natural regenerative processes which stimulates collagen synthesis.

With expert precision, technique and timing, EXCEED medical microneedling triggers growth factors for building new collagen. Very tiny needles are used to penetrate the top layer of the skin vertically causing localised and controlled damage without substantially affecting the structure of the epidermis. The creation of controlled microchannels in the skin instigates the regeneration of skin cells via a natural process of healing. Awakening the fibroblast that lies within the deeper layers of the skin, healthy collagen is naturally produced.

Does Skin Needling hurt?

No, for the majority of people, Skin Needling isn’t considered to be painful. While some discomfort may be experienced, we take steps to keep this to a minimum and treat on a setting suitable to each client’s pain threshold/comfort levels.

 

What is the after care advice?

For 48 hours:
-No heat on the skin (avoid hot showers and excessive exercise)
-No make up unless it is 1Skin  Foundation
-Clean pillow case
-Clean your glasses or anything touching the skin with alcohol wipes

-Cleanse your skin with Gentle Antioxidant Cleanser

-Hydrate your skin with Medi-Soothe as many times per day as required
-Use O Cosmedics 3D Hyaluronic Serum  AM & PM
-Mineral Pro SPF+ must be worn everyday
-Resume actives  3 – 5 days post treatment

 

What to expect:
For the first 1 – 2 days:  You will feel heat (like a mild sunburn). Then your skin will look glowy and tight. Then your skin will look dry and flakey and that’s when you can 
come back at day 4-5 for a gentle enzyme and LED as part of your treatment plan.

 

How many sessions of Skin Needling will I need?

This will vary from client to client.  Some skin concerns may only need one session whereas others may need 4-6 sessions. Some clients get Skin Needling as an ongoing maintenance all through the year.
